I read that comment at the bottom of a blog entry on Gizmodo about the Last Airbender movie, which seems to be universally slated (Rotten Tomatoes give it a massive 8%!).

Personally I am a big fan of the TV series, and I still watch it on Sky (on Nick), and I was looking forward to the movie but wouldn' waste my money now.

Has anyone here seen it? Comments for or against it?

And the comment about Ewe Boll I find sad but funny; Ewe is known for the absolutley tragic movies he made (makes?), to be compared to him is really reaching the bottom of the pile.

Are we really reaching an age where directors/producers/writers etc are running out of fresh ideas and we have to rehash Japanesse TV shows into really bad movies (Dragaonball anyone)?  And I have to wonder why would anyone try and squeeze over 30 hours (a guess) of TV episodes into a movie and expect it to work?  It may be a 'kids' cartoon but there is still character development, backgrounds and interactions to take into account.
