Hi all,
Im just wondering who has more uses for there computer, not for whos is fastest, but whose actually has more uses as in can read the most cards, bluetooth, infared, 802.11a+b+g etc...
I'll start:

Bluetooth
USB 2 - 8 Ports availible
10/100 LAN
Disc Stakka - 100 Spaces free
CD-R -RW
DVD -R -RW +R +RW RAM
Cards: CF I+II, XD, SD, MSD, MS...
Optical In/Out (audio) + SPDIF In/Out
S-Video + Composite + tv (IN)
Firewire x2

Feel Free to beat me just remeber I didnt ask who has the most RAM or the fastest best branded CPU.

Oh, my... You have a Stakka? I was thinking of one of those, for my MSDN discs. But it's a pitty it won't actually read the discs...

I have 2 10/100 LAN, 10 USB 2.0 ports, SD/MMC/CF/MS reader in 3 1/2" slot, DVD RW/RAM, Firewire 2 ports, Firewire 250GB external HDD (for backup), Firewire 60GB external HDD (for backup), 160 GB HDD, Optical In/Out (audio) + SPDIF In/Out, headset/mic front plug. This is my main desktop.

As for the cards, are these on a laptop or desktop?

2x DVD - R/W drives, Behavior tech, and cyberdrve

floppy drive

Firewire:
always runs almost daily

3ccd Panasonic MiniDV camcorder
other various devices that come and go (mates camera's etc)

USB, has two USB sound output devices hooked up.

external 200GB hdd box (swap between laptop)

Digital camera (pentax)

Machine copys or rips at least one DVD daily, downloads 30+ mp3's grabs 30+ photo's (i'm a shutter bug) and takes about 3 minutes average DV footage at day foir various clips.

only that poor floppy disk is really unused!!!!!

this is not lasting long, migration to server is in progress!

i won't start on server...... GeeeeeeeeeK

Stakkas as pretty good and im sure with a bit of kiwi ingenuity (speeling?) you could come uo with something such as mounting one of those drives with the slot instead of the tray ;) Im just dissapointed my desk is so small that I have to have my stakka about 1.7 metres from my drives...

My cards are on a USB 2 card reader that does them over 4 seperate drives on one port.

Well, I haven't listed the test server of course - but I don't have floppy drives here.

Check this one, just fresh: Dell 3007WFP Widescreen LCD... Got the IM from Ubergizmo a few minutes ago and it's so cool I decided to post on the blog part of Geekzone and a link here...

I quite like them aswell, but the software could do with some well, not quite serious improvement, but it could do with a bit more redevelopement. I've already suggested a half dozen or so improvements to them and apparently there's version 3 is coming out this year. BUT it's going to be a pay upgrade. If you've got v2.xxx standard (comes with the stakka) or shelled out to upgrade to Pro you need to shell out again once v3 comes out.

That and the fact they are a bit overpriced. I think imation might have pinched/bought the basic tech/concept from another company in Australia that looks like it did a very very similar product - ProjectLabs Century 100 CD/DVD Storage Unit

hmm, guess my Kodak FilmDrive doesn't get a look-in? It's in a daisy-chain with a 100MB ZIP disc, mmm, tasty.

I can't beat you young ones with your modern technology, but my museum does have 2 AS/400's, a DEC Alpha and HP NetServer (all operational), plus some other things that have less processing power than my Palm :-(
