I keep on hearing about this storm that is going to hit the country, so far nothing. How's the weather in your area?  Maybe it only hit Tasmania and has passed us by.

It was blowing in Wellington over night, same thing this morning. The sun was out a few minutes ago.

Palmerston North

Rained overnight/this morning.
Winds really starting to build up now. (Ha, more than normal for here)
Right now sunny, nearly 17 deg.

So all good so far, with a chance of a beer later as it's the weekend soon.

Storm isnt expected to hit until late this afternoon according to the metservice weather watch.

Time to tie down your personal belongings, will probably be felt tonight & over the weekend.

Skys in Auckland are starting to blacken up over the past hour, and wind speeds are picking up.

Calm before the storm!

Whakatane: Gone from blue a couple of hours ago to grey now, but it's not cold, windy or raining yet.

12:39pm - Big clouds rapidly rolling over the North Shore.  Based on the rain radar's tracking of rain cells, it looks like it may rain in the next hour....but the band is quite narrow and should pass 30-60 minutes or so. If that is a front, it may usher in other weather. We'll see.

Pretty tame so far...and no obvious sign of anything worse than the usual blowy wet.

In Manukau/Manurewa, Auckland its grey sky, was raining fairly hard before and very windy. Seem's to have slowed down to a drizzle. I could so be a weather reporter :D..
We're meant to have furnature arrive today so it better stop for rest of day.
