its diet coke and diet sprite with new marketing. "diet" is a dirty word but being a "zero" is cool

I think Sprite Zero tastes great, havent tried Coke Zero yet.
Wont give it to my kids though, would rather they have sugar than whatever chemical concoction goes into the zero products!! Does anyone know anything about it? For it? Against it? Let your kids have it?

Ive been drinking sprite zero (diet sprite) since I got caught up in the whole atkins "eat a whole pig and a dozen eggs - just no pasta" diet a few years a go - i'm off the diet now. But I still only drink diet fizzy - once I learned how much sugar was in the real deal it put me off them.

I have tried Coke zero and it tastes similar to normal coke. However I noticed in ingredients list it contains sweeteners instead of sugar.

Zero Coke tastes like a sweeter Diet Coke to me. Don't like it - tastes nothing like the original.

And we all know what special additive gave Coke its original name

Ironically... I haven't touched Coke or its sisters for almost two months now. Which is a bit of a mockery of my screenname.

Fruit juice & water for me at the moment.

For your information:

Diet coke has no caffine, the caffine replacement is much worse for you than caffine.
Coke zero has no sugar, but itstead contains sugar replacements, the forerunners of the stuff they use today was highly cancerous and killed many (read 1000's) before they decided it might be a little hazardous and banned it.

I drink only real coke, about 600ml a day at least, and coke zero is the most disgusting thing around, second only to coke cita which tastes like dishwashing liquid. Vanilla coke wasnt much better

I'm fully hooked on Diet Bundaberg Ginger Beer - buy a 10 bottle case a week. The preference of the diet version over the standard version isn't a health thing, just a taste preference. OH, and i like the stomach of the chick in the ads for it on the side of buses...

Avoid them like the plague,, I only drink Golden circle and the "spree" range as they contain Sucralose, AKA "Splenda, maaaaayde from shoogar so it taaaaste laaaaake Shuugar"

Coke is a no-no, I'm caffeine intolerant (makes me doze off very suddenly)

aspartame or one of the sweetners apparently turns into Formalin, the stuff they preserve the baby animals and brains in the jars at science class in school. Scary.

(beer as that's what i'll be drinking in 20 mins)

Coke Zero tastes the same as Coke, it's better, doesn't hurt my teeth ha.

Diet coke on the other hand is bloody revolting.

hummm even though I drink (the normal) coke in my bourbon or my rum :-)** I still think If the stuff can strip rust of coins and clean my jewellery, it must not be good for you at all, Im a Caffeine addict have about 15-20 cups a day that can't be good for me either I guess, but what the hell you only live once, right!
