rscole86: Paul who?

I'm trying to find out. Does anyone know which car is he driving for which team? Why resign before the race is over?

Yeah just came on. Was going to create this thread myself but like you already have :)

Anyway, what a bad bad decison. He makes a comment that to most people (As seen poll after poll both on TV and the Net) isnt racist and he is correct in what he said. The Diksht lady has said HERSELF that thousands of people make fun of her name and she doesnt mind. I dont understand why people can criticise Paul for laughing at her name when she doesnt mind people doing it herself.

WE LIVE IN NZ. TIME AFTER TIME NZ BOWS DOWN TO WHAT THE MINORITY WANT IN THIS COUNTRY AND ALSO BOWS DOWN TO OTHER COUNTRIES - MAN UP NZ

I have seen poll after poll with questions such as "Should Paul Henry lose his job" "Do you like Paul Henry" "Do you think Paul Henry is right in what he said" any many many more. Every single Poll I have seen the votes have been in Pauls favour - "No Paul shouldnt lose his job, yes I like Paul Henry, yes he was right in what he said"

A few people in NZ send in complaints and the Majority are now unhappy (and lets be frank about this, probably 90%+ of the people who complained were Indians. Indians not Kiwis)

Breakfast ratings are going to go downhill very sharply. Paul was the reason many many people (Id take a guess at 50%+ watched it in the first place). Pippa is having a baby soon, so there will be two new presenters, or maybe even the one.

I for one wont be watching Breakfast anymore, maybe just for the next week to see if they do some kind of Tribute to Paul with all his great jokes :)

My Rant ^

It's not enough NZ media stuck the knife in they had to twist and twist it until the man finally broke under the pressure - bringing up old clips to make out the guy was a racist - as Jesus once said - he who is without sin may throw the first stone --- shame that doesn't apply to our media.

Good riddance.

I don't understand how anyone can defend the man. Yes, he mucked up her name but then he was told how it's meant to be pronounced, and persists in pronouncing it incorrectly. I cannot see how you can not consider that offensive. The reality is, he intentionally offends people - an article just the other day compiled a timeline of offenses and there are -a lot-.

For a country that's only just gotten over segregation, this place is awfully racist.

Maybe he could make a new radio show with Paul Holmes. That would be rather interesting I think.

I hope he doesn't end up back on Radio Live again where I will have to put up with him. I would have much preferred it if he'd stayed on redneck television where he belongs.

The media has it's faults, but anyone who took the view that the Governor-General born in NZ wasn't a New Zealander because he was Indian.....(a week after the "dixit" cackle-fest where he said Indians and sh*t go together).......would find themselves in the same boat.

If you didn't think those comments were racist, then it might help all of us if you tried to define what racism was in your view.......cause if it doesn't mean what Henry said....then it doesn't mean anything at all....

Yeah I personally can't stand him or Paul Holmes but it would be interesting how many complaints they could get between them.

Sheila Has said herself thats how you pronounce it (Exactly how it sounds) Cant remember where I heard it, think it was TV1 and somewhere else.

I have met the governor general - very nice man, I am not defending his actions - I am pointing out - Paul Henry apologised to the governor general, he accepted it - lets move on.

I just hope they find someone more interesting than Rawdon Christie. He has the personality of a postage stamp.
