Everyone around the world would probably have heard that Sony has killed Aibo...

And I have been wanting an Aibo forever since 1999 when it was first released... however it seems impossible to get one in NZ.

Looking at sonystyle.co.uk, there's one last black Aibo M3 available and being an UK model, it will have same power voltage as NZ too... so that's cool but priced at 1,4xx UK pound.... *YIKES*

Anyhow... anyonw know any alternative robotic dogs? or anyone coming to NZ from UK that can help bringing it to me (IF i can purchase it and delivered to your location in UK?)

well i do like an Aibo...

I nearly got one off TradeMe last year. Just missed out as it was one of those hotly contested auctions.

I have a 19 year old brother in law that lives here, a good replacement for an Aibo, but eats more.
Hes very entertaining, and fairly obedient.

Aibo - no dog registration, no fleas and it is already micro-chipped. If it bites your neighbour perform a hard reset.

hehe a chihuahua would be good... but my mother and my partner both don't like the idea of having real dog in the house. So the closest I can get as a dog is Aibo... but you can't get it here. And now Sony killed it! :-(
