Late last week (Thursday) was almost all locally gathered Kai:

Smoked kahawai fish cakes (caught & smoked from earlier this year)
Then on the way home I gathered my 10 mussels and a pile of pipis from a secret spot close to home. Steamed and served with homemade balsamic dressing.
Mesculin salad from the garden, with fresh peas etc. Store bought tomato ...

Gotta admit, there aint many places in the world where you can stop off on the way home from work and gather a quick feed of shellfish. Bliss.

Tonight were having mince, spaghetti with Italian pasta sauce, for desert dark chocolate pudding with ice cream.
