Hi there

I have recently checked my emails and have discovered that I have bid on and purchased a $125,000 dodge viper, nice! but i did not do this.  My account was on automatic login, so really it is my own fault, also i think my ex gf knows my password. my flatmates were on the computer at the time according to the history although not on trademe. they could have easily deleted the history though.  Can anyone help me with answers as to find out who has done this? Or who can do so for me.

Thanks

Matt

You obviously changed your password already? Also I recommend you run an antivirus and antispyware scan, to make sure there are no keyloggers on your PC.

Have you contacted the seller and Trademe and explained the situation? Hopefully they're in an understanding mood!

Does anyone know whether it is possible to find out who placed the bet?

I'm sure Trademe can find out, don't know if they will though.

Are you sure the email was not a phishing email and you clicked on it and now someone has your password?

Not a relationship, I would imagine :P

Sorry, but that does suck. Also contact TradeMe to let them know. Their support is usually very good. But like suggested above. Make sure you scan your computer etc for spyware/malware/viruses.
