Hey guys, I was just wondering what your thoughts are on getting the MCDST certification this late on in the game. I am currently job seeking after completing a Diploma and want to increase my chances of finding work. I think I could breeze through the 271 and 272 exams in about 2 weeks. On top of the Diploma I also have A+ and Network+. Your thoughts?

Ive got A+ and did the 271/272 last year - at the time it was applicable for me at work because we were still XP based, but now were moving onto Windows 7 Im going to be doing 70-680 and 70-685 in the new year.

271/272 were fairly straight forward, if youve been working with XP for a few years then you should breeze through.

Windows XP is 8 years old now and with Windows 7 being pushed out everywhere you would probably be better off looking at a similar route as myself - even if a firm is still on XP and you roll up with Win 7 certification, theyll probably be keen as you'll have Win7 experience when they go to migrate to it :)
