Hi,
I have an intriguing problem with a ZTE MF626 (the white "free" ones Telecom gave a bit back).
If I plug it in a Windows OS everything is fine, the blue led comes on, internet works fine. If I call that number from a different phone I get a strange busy tone (it's not going to the voicemail although it's activated).
If I plug the stick on a Mac with the software that comes with the stick installed I can call that number (I don't care that nobody answers, all I want is a ringing tone).
If I move the USB connection to a Windows Virtual machine running on the mac (so without resetting the network connection) the Telecom Connection Manager for Windows appears and I can ring that number. A "hidden" window appears saying that there's an incoming call and with 3 buttons on the left hand side (missed calls, dialed calls and received calls). I haven't been able to find this tab without this "hack".
Now, the question is: How to I make the MF626 to open the voice channel if I only have a Windows PC? I tried looking into the AT commands (the AT+VIP seems to be the one but I get an error). The Mac software somehow initialises the voice channel but the windows one doesn't.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
