I'm have an EVGA GTX460 gfx card that keeps hitting 99C on load.

The shop I bought it from eventually agreed with me that the card is indeed faulty after numerous visits to the muppets.

So they have finally agreed to replace it, but two weeks on and I have yet to see a replacement. And all this while the same gfx card on their website has been listed as IN STOCK FOR ONLINE ORDERS, SHIP OUT WITHIN 48HRS.

What are my options from here onwards?

They're no doubt waiting for the distributor to replace it. Some have great RMA processes, some can take several weeks.

Should they even list an item that isn't in stock as available for the last forthnight?

who said it wasnt in stock , they may have a couple they have already paid for waiting to be sold, pretty sure they wont give one to you because they lose money. They will be waiting for the supplier to replace it, so they are not out of pocket .

Common sense is not as common as you think.

99C is a hot card, hopefully you get a cooler one back soon , my last rma was 3 weeks

As stated above they are not going to give you a replacement card unless the distributor tells them to replace it. Sorry but you just have to wait. They MAY give you a new card or they may repair it and give you the same card back (very unlikely but still within their rights).

Last video card RMA I did was a 3 day turn around(due to being in another city). All depends on how helpful the store wants to be.
