So I was looking at Amazon UK for a new golf putter. Found one, added it to my basket, went to checkout and it says it can't be shipped to this country. Is there any way I can get it from Amazon, other than hitting up my distant relations who I haven't spoken to in years?

Amazon's stores have restrictions in shipping. This is nothing new so I wouldn't call exactly an "annoyance".

As pointed there are some mail redirection services. Not cheap but get the job done.

Not nearly everything. A lot of electronics are not shipped outside the U.S.

Note that, for some items even paying shipping it can still be cheaper than buying here...

Nope, they have similar, but not the model I wanted. Amazon UK has it for 15 pounds down from 50. Which works out to be just over $31.
