well the seller doesnt know about PSU in monitors, or where to find a model number/name.
still, the measurements seem like it is a 15 inch.
5cm deep 30cm high 36.5cm wide
strange..

Model will be on a sticker on the back or even imprinted into the rear housing.

The other things you could ask too, is for them to check what the maximum res shows in the Display Control panel, and it may even say there what the monitor is (some do, some dont).

Just looking at the size of the buttons on the side, and resolution it appears to be putting out still makes me think 17", but I could be wrong :)

Yep that's definitely a 15", I had one of them....it's got an inbuilt power supply, but the res on the one I had was only 1024x768. Might pay to ask the seller, because I think the Res might be the same!

Any reason you are getting that one(ie Computer modding project)

You can pick one up for the same price including shipping for a 17" AOC
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Computers/Monitors/LCD-monitors/auction-352824644.htm

$65 if in Auckland incl shipping
$70 if in Welly

- Whoops, just saw your post in the WTB about wanting a slim monitor :S

Actually, I just remembered the attache case thread :)

Did you buy the Jaycar 455(W) x 330(D) x 152(H)mm model?

If so, if you get a 17" LCD, remove the casing, it'll fit!!
My old one without the casing was roughly 350mm x 280mm

I've build one in aluminium box for LANing before. I used an SFX PSU(Cheapie off Trademe) and a MicroATX AMD board at the time. The only bad thing about my build was that I screwed up the I/O Panel and used a piece of MDF over it instead.

Best thing to do with the I/O panel is have it sticking slightly furthur out and then rivet it to the outside of the case. I tried putting it on the inside flush, but my jigsaw skills made it look terrible. I'll try find a pic tonight, but it was almost 6 years ago :S

You guys are ledgends, thanks
I was keen on 17 inch but i have never removed the panels on a monitor before and the casing helps since it has wallmounts.
I got the large camera case from jaycar 300 high 500 diagonal
Ill check that trademe link now
