I'm looking at purchasing one of these

http://cgi.ebay.com/SONY-CAR-AUDIO-MP3-WMA-DSXS300BTX-PLAYER-USB-FITS-FORD-/390285514298?pt=Car_Audio_In_Dash_Receivers&hash=item5aded4563a#ht_4123wt_1139

do they still produce different versions for the US, I understand the FM frequency steps can be different?

US only uses .odd numbers, has a different preemphais (but with how bad most stations sound I doubt you would notice) and the RDS is slightly different, but I dont know how that will affect use here.

Also AM is on 10kHz steps, not 9kHz as here, but unless you want non english stations, again not a concern.

That one has HD radio on it, no idea if it will work on HD radio here, or even if there is still any operating in NZ as it was just a trial.

Why that one anyway? you should be able to do much better on a non sony locally.
