I've just created a Geekzone plane on Grabaplane... The plan is to fly from Wellington to Napier to spend the day - perhaps some wine tours, just being lazy around, who knows?

Join the plane and let's see if we can make it fly.

Huh? Can you give a bit more background about what you're doing, when, costs, etc? Or is this a virtual thing? I can't be bothered signing up to work out what's going on.

It's an Air New Zealand promo where they will provide a plane for you and 40 friends to travel anywhere on their network, returning the same day.  All free except whatever you do at your destination.

Napier, not Nelson.

As said, a free plane for 40 people, departing from Wellington to Napier. You can create your own plane, invite your friends and enter the draw. Only full planes are in.

Great for getting into regional area as we all know AirNZ monopolised on regional flights.. and they cost a bloody fortune to fly into those places!!!

For those that cant be bothered clicking to find our more...

"Air New Zealand operated service for 41 people on [within] Sunday 24 April 2011"

Sounds fun.

"[draw] closes 25 Mar 2011, 11.59am"

It seems a bit silly to operate the flight during Easter when most people are likely to already have travel plans arranged.

We could always create a Geekzone - Auckland edition plane... provided Mauricio doesn't object to the competition :-)
