Ordered a bit of stuff from DealExtreme. Once they have it in stock, postage usually takes about 5 working days.

How do you know NZ Post are at fault? If you have a tracking number and believe they are at fault the best option would be to contact NZ Post for an explanation.

One problem with many online sellers in Hong Kong is that they don't have any shipping format shipping arangements with Hong Kong Post. They simply send people to post stores with goods for shipping, and in many cases experience delays as a result.

I've ordered a significant number of things from various private and commercial companies and find shipping is typically around 3-5 days once the goods have left Hong Kong. In some instances it can take weeks for goods to actually leave Hong Kong, even after they have claimed goods have been shipped.

Are you sure it's been shipped yet? Some of those online sellers don't have stock and take their time before actually sending things out.

And how do you know it's NZ Post's fault?

If you've bought that charger off eBay and it had free shipping in the listing it will take a month or so to arrive, because shipping is free they use the slowest (and cheapest) method possible. I once ordered a small security camera for about $10 from eBay with free shipping and it took about two weeks to arrive, But from past experience things usually take 3 to 4 weeks to turn up.

What site did you buy it from? I purchased from a comapny who I believed was hong kong based. It took over 2 months to get here, and it appeared to have been shipped from china, so may have been drop shipped.I ended up getting a refund anyway, as I didn't get any support from the company about the shipping delay, and paypal only allow you a month to get a refund if you don't receive the goods. It ended up being  faulty too.

Its stuffed at the moment, I have had DX orders show as being shipped weeks apart, and they all arrived at the same time. 3 registered parcels last time, 2 about 3 weeks earlier. There is someone in hong kong post who doesnt understand what FIFO means it seems, as others have arrived ahead of them.

It got even worse over chinese new year where despite the sellers being back, the posties seemed to take even more time off.

Dont forget the 45 day limit on paypal and ebay, so if thats getting close put your claim in now
