Thought I'd start off the list. First one I saw was the moderator options here then 1-day.co.nz sent me this:

Also check out the 1-day.co.nz site, don't have your speakers up too loud.

Heard the "Brooke Howard Smith Show" on the Rock. Immediately knew it was a prank. How the listeners could think it was real was beyond me...

Then on More FM heard the fake news, saying that daylight savings had been stopped due to the Rugby World Cup 2011....

Then I cut the network cable and phone receiver cable of a colleague. And another colleague plastered ones desk with cds. Didn't get anything done to me, which I know of.

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

i know its not an april fool prank, but a few days ago i got a call from a scamster telling me i had some deathly computer virus and that if i let them take over my pc they would fix it for me..soooo after playing them along for a while

them " what operating system do you have"
me "umm its a microsoft"
them "sorry is it xp or windows 7"
me "ohhhh its a windows"

they eventualy asked me to go to a support website of some description, it was at this point that i told them i was being redirected to some weird website about a party of lemons and that they should explain what it was i was looking at.

i heard some typing, short grunt and then a dial tone .. me and my flat mates laughed for some time.

seeing as this wa the third time they had called me i thought it was within my rights to waste some of their time

Nakedbus.com sent me this email this morning.

-----

Introducing nakedblimp.com

nakedbus.com is proud to announce the latest addition to its expanding range of services - domestic airship travel. Starting in February next year a fleet of 14 airships or "blimps" will link all major cities and tourist destinations in New Zealand. Operating under the banner of nakedblimp.com, the blimps will provide regular scheduled services across the country - starting from $1 (plus $1 booking fee).

The blimps will slash travel times compared with road travel - For instance, Auckland to Hamilton in 35 minutes, Christchurch to Queenstown in 90 minutes. nakedblimp.com will bring the most spectacular tourism destinations within reach - for instance Queenstown to the world-renowned Milford Sound will take a mere 40 minutes. Blimps will "hop" up and down the country meaning that a comprehensive and affordable network can be provided. Tourists will be able to travel between Auckland and Queenstown in 5 hours with an average fare of $59.

nakedblimp

The blimps will take off from "blimp-ports" in city centre locations so there will be no need to trek to an airport. In Auckland, blimps will take off from the Elliott Street carpark, which will be redeveloped for the purpose. With the ability to bring 100s of travellers per hour to CBDs, cities are expected to vie to provide the most attractive blimp-ports. Blimps can take off vertically where ports are surrounded by tall buildings.

nakedbus.com will co-ordinate its buses with the blimp service ensuring that all communities benefit. nakedbus.com bus stops will be integrated into each blimp-port enabling seamless transfer, and through fares will be available.

Apart from the benefits to tourism, the company is confident that commuters will flock to the new service. "When you can travel from the centre of Hamilton to Auckland CBD in less than an hour, why would you drive?" asks nakedbus.com CEO, Hamish Nuttall.

Each blimp carries up to 235 passengers in air conditioned comfort, and travels at speeds of up to 100 KTS (185 km/h). The company is working on revolutionary BALATRO technology that will boost speeds to 325 km/h further slashing journey times.

Blimps can operate in any conditions that commercial aircraft operate.

The craft chosen for this project are provided by Hybrid Air Vehicles Limited (HAV), based in the UK . They are 81.3m in length, with buoyancy envelopes filled with Helium. More information can be found on HAV's website (http://www.hybridairvehicles.com)

nakedbus.com is making an investment of $NZ308M dollars to fund this expansion, but is confident that with its policy of cheap fares it will be able to make a return. "This is a huge commitment to tourism in New Zealand" says Nuttall, "and we are confident that the public will get behind us".

I loved the GraBone for this morning.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!

They had quite a good prank on The Edge this morning.

They are running a competition for winning a trip to Sydney for a Chris Brown concert. To enter you tell them what you are willing to do to get the trip. If they choose you, and you go through with it, you get the trip.

This morning 'apparently' they had a Mother and Daughter in the studio who were going to get a chris brown tattoo each. The daughter was only 8.
They had a tatoo artist there, and pretended they were doing the tatoos on air.

The callers they had were hillarious. Believed the whole thing. Threatening to never listen to the station again, calling their lawyers, their local mp. Was a good laugh on the way to work.

Classic Hits did a not too bad one today, Announced that to cover the shortfall from Auckland hosting the additional matches (the 3 million) that Crockers Property Management had brought naming rights for the Auckland Harbour Bridge, even during the traffic reports they were referring to "Crockers Property Management Harbour Bridge".

They seemed to indicate that they were doing it on all The Radio Network stations.  Not a bad one, had me fooled for a little (not that I cared much).

My favourite prank though, was a couple of years ago, playing an elaborate prank on an international office...  Won't go into details, but it was quite fun.

With ArcSys, a games developer I follow-ish they brought out a leak of a new game called Blazblue vs Guilty Gear.. Both of these are huge successes in their business and many people have wanted a game featuring both series.
