Your post makes no sense at all. Care to explain a little bit better?

Don't think it would be?  vevo videos were playing fine for me this morning, plus Aprils fools would be over 12 hours away for most of the US still? and at least 9 for London/UK

I'm not sure what is wrong, the pre-VEVO count is how many views it had before VEVO partnered with youtube and all the music videos where added to VEVO channels. It's purely for information.

And not sure what you mean about it being upscaled to 720p, the 720p quality looks normal to me.

I've noticed this before, I think what happens is that:

User X (either fan or record company) uploads a music video to YouTube, it gets VEVOized, as part of that the original music video gets published as a new video in highest quality possible, they update the description add "Pre-Video play count: x hits" get Youtube to hide and redirect people to the VEVO video, and then some time in the future, someone goes plays with the database and adds the original play count to the VEVO version.

I noticed this w/ a couple of songs now and it's the only logical explanation I can come up with.

Edit:

No idea whats going on here, but surely the first one should belong to the KatyPerryVEVO channel, and the Coldplay one should belong to a Coldplay VEVO channel.  Perhaps that's another manual step or they've changed how they do it.
