Hi,
I was wondering if I could use TeamViewer so that it only used the network to transmit the data, not the internet. I don't really want to be using all of my data up using it. 

BTW - the other computer is on the network.

Never tried it but usually you would VNC for LAN access. No internet needed at all.

enable incoming lan connections in teamviewer (client)

type the machine name or lan ip address in the partner ID

Assuming you mean remote access programs by VNC, TV allows you to connect to anyone anywhere as long as you have their number and password.
