I'm after something like this hood, but in black. They have domes and connect to the matching coat. Apparently drizabone don't make them in black any more, just brown, which would look a bit silly.

Anyone know something that'd work and not look too bad?

The brown one with some kind of dye treatment, or black fabric/textile paint should do the job.

Interesting idea. Can you dye an oilskin coat effectively, without damaging it or making it less waterproof?

No idea. Watered down (to get penetration) acrylic fabric paint would be the safest option, then give it a scrub with water afterwards and see how much stays on..

Thanks for the ideas, but it sounds like a PITA. Maybe a different brand would work, or just use the brown one. If it's really that wet I want it I probably won't care how it looks.
