As someone who has enjoyed the free shipping from over the last few months, I'm pleased to see they've extended the offer to 15 August.  Together with the good exchange rate, it makes it very attractive to buy from the UK.  Plus there's the joy and excitement of receiving an Amazon parcel on the doorstep...

One of the upsides of a company suffering from poor sales...give customers an incentive to buy, go us!

Support a locally made Linux based Operating System, try Linux Lite.

nathan: do you find the books cost more in GBP than they do in USD?

Not sure.  I've never bought books from Amazon before.  My "policy" is to buy those things which are not easily found in NZ (like a lot of BBC comedy stuff) or which is grossly overpriced in NZ.

I did find some DVDs which were listed as US imports on the UK store were cheaper to buy direct from the US store, even after the shipping costs were factored in (by about $50NZD).  Shipping time was longer though (quoted 32 days, arrived after 20 days).
