I recently installed a basic towel rail timer (4 hours twice a day), I think the brand was 'Celsius'?

Anyway, it's a worthless POS, more than an hour out after eight days.

Does anyone have one worth recommending?

Well that's the embarrassing part, the invoice seems to have completely disappeared into thin air. I'm usually good with receipt-keeping, and I've found every Electrical Direct invoice *save* the one for the damned timer. Even more extraordinary, I don't even have the order confirmation email - I have four 'dispatch' emails from ED, but only three 'order received's, and the fourth would have been the timer order. o_O

It was only $40, and the packaging says 'must be installed by registered electrician' anyway (does an EAS cert count?).

Not tried it, but Intelliswitch. Designed, developed and manufactured in NZ, available direct from the manufacturer. Good support I believe. Email them and ask about accuracy.

I have been using the same timer, with the same issue.

Impel, the suppliers in NZ have just issued a general recall of the product. It can be replaced with a different brand or a Celsius one that works at no cost to you.

Their phone number is 800 432 333.

They won't need your proof of purchase, I'm sure.
