Nothing unusual for one of the top hotels in Las Vegas...

I'll be staying at The Venetian (www.venetian.com) for a few days in a couple of weeks. Wish me luck ;)

If you rack up a $190K drinks bill, you're gonna need a LOT more than luck :-D

I didn't noticed the total - just the Red Bull prices... But yes, I've been to Las Vegas a few times before and even though I didn't pay the bill in some of the bigger events I know how much food costs there. And we did have about the same number of people.

Actually, here:

Windows Vista launch. Microsoft lunch in Las Vegas, during CES, with about 50 people. I bet the bill was about that much ;)

I don't care how nice it is, $25,000 for a single bottle of any beverage is obscene. For that price I'd expect the bottle to be bought to me by a small group of working girls.

That's the thing with having people out there who have too much money though, they need something to spend it on and it seems silly from a sales point of view to deny them their wish.

I didn't realize America was that bad, people must be using wheelbarrows of cash to pay for bread.

That bill didn't seem to have any food, it was all drinks.

Now why can't I get invited to parties like that :(

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Is that due to inflation or something? That would probably also buy quite a few houses in the US, as their houses are cheap.

Should have held it in NZ, could have saved themselves the $30,000 TIP!

stevenz: .... to be bought to me ...

Did you mean "to be brought to me"?

(Sorry Wink, I couldn't help having a dig after reading your signature)

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I'll be in Vegas in four weeks time and will be sure to avoid this place!

I'll be on the tables taking advantage of as many "free" watered down drinks as I can!
