I bought an ego-t and haven't smoked in a week!

It's the only time since I was 14 I have gone without tobacco!

I got mine from a kiwi dude who imports them. Had a 20 minute learning curve and made the 1st mistake of getting a tobacco flavour... Now I have coffee and cheesecake (and the occaisional cuban cigar)

$120 + postage for mine, and no carts, just "juice" refillable FTW!
Thats for 2 egos and 5 tanks!

I looked into what you're looking at and found it nearly the same price as ciggies... this has cost me $10 in juice for a week...

I got more flavours and now have enuff juice for about 3 weeks!

Talk to the guy on that site for options too... he basically stopped me smoking.. and can talk about all the options for kiwis.. he's from the tauranga area.

I gave up smoking 15 years ago. I used Sun flower seeds. Previous to that I had tried many methods without
success.

Then I went through a process I decided a set date to give up, the night before we completely cleaned the house, washed the walls ,all though I had been smoking outside for sometime, washed all my clothing, the curtains everything. Threw away everything associated with smoking. I am not sure what it is in sunflower seeds but nibbling on them during the day kept the cravings under control and I have not smoked a single cigarette since. I used the sunflower seeds for about three weeks.

I have not had the desire to smoke a cigarette for 15 years plus.

Did you find the sunflower seeds made you want to sit on a perch and gnaw at cuttlefish?

But seriously well done guys for giving up, in my circles its a rare thing now to come across a smoker.

It is indeed a rare thing...

whatever you guys do don't goto Raro...    ciggies are 15bucks a carton, or worst Vietnam at 75cents/pack

I gave up more or less 9 years ago, but seem to picked up a smoke while you're on holiday habit.

Gave up ~18 months ago on my nth attempt. No patches, products or anything just did cold turkey because I REALLY wanted to quit.

Kudos! I really admire people who can do that - well done!

I've spent over $9,000 trying to get off cigarettes. I've completed courses at public hospitals overseas (and even have the certificates to say I successfully quit smoking), I've had hypnotherapy god knows how many times, and just about every quit program under the sun.

I loathe cigarettes with a passion. The smell makes me sick and I can't stand it in my clothes or hair. Even after years, I can still smell smoke on me and other people.

I blame it on aversion therapy - there's nothing quite like being forced to chain smoke quickly till you are close to throwing up, then having to mix the ashtray with water and eat the contents! (No kidding - I had to do that in one quit program!) It worked. I was violently ill and can't stand the taste or smell. BUT I still smoke.

Good luck to everyone whose trying to quit. Please post updates on how those cig replacements work out for you.

2 days so far for me! I'm on the patches after first giving zyban a go, but that kept me awake all not so I gave that away.

I didnt go the e-cig route, because I kind of think it doesnt address the habitual side of smoking, as you are still kinda going through the motions.

I am really hoping I can kick it this time, I'm only 30 and have already been smoking for over half of my life!

For billions of years since the outset of time, every single one of your ancestors survived, every single person on your Mum and Dads side, successfully looked after and passed onto you life.  What are the chances of that like?

Haven't had a ciggie in 10 1/2 months. Started with the patches from the quitline for 1st 3 months. They helped the physical addiction and made me realise how prevalent the psychological addiction was until I got a grasp on that. Once the mind is conquered, the body will follow.

Feel heaps better. My doctor said it is more healthy to put on weight than to continue smoking.
