Hi There!

Anyone know of someone who can supply home user quantities of high quality venison (preferably backstrap) (KG at a time say) in Auckland?

My local butcher used to supply it but they sold out to an indian halal butcher and since then, no venison.

Yummo.

P.S. I'm sure I've seen venison (different cuts) at the regular supermarkets and definitely the upmarket ones (Farro, Nosh etc).

Pack n Save has venison. It's quite cheap and looks like reasonable quality. It's vacuum packed so it looks black, don't be put off by that though, when you open it up, it will go back red after a couple of minutes.
