I need to get a Mini Displayport to Displayport cable (to go from an iMac to a HP monitor) .. proving to be a bit of a challenge to find anyone who sells them in NZ.

Anyone know of a company that sells/makes cables ?

I've dealt with these guys once: http://www.darkstar.co.nz
Would definitely go there again in future. They don't list your cable but perhaps it's worth asking.

Is this what you're after:
http://www.dealextreme.com/p/mini-displayport-dp-male-to-displayport-dp-female-adapter-cable-white-1...

Hong Kong based but free shipping to NZ (note prices in US$), can take anything from 1 -4 or so weeks to get here.

Edit:
you can also try here for "NZ" based shop:
http://nz.shop.yoobee.com/
bit pricier though but you're more likely to be buying genuine product

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I would use www.wirednz.co.nz personally (have dealt with them for years....great guys), but oretty sure they only deal with Trade.

Flick them an email and see what they can do :)

Almost, thats an adapter, I'd prefer to get a cable that just has mini-displayport male on one end and displayport male on the other.

Found a place on ebay that does it for US$9.99 with free shipping to NZ, probably go with them.

theres some on trademe, i was looking for a short mini display port to hdmi cable (not adapter), but trademe shortest was 1.5m, found a 1.2m on dhgate.com for a little cheaper and free shipping (from china). ordered a few days ago, hasnt arrived yet (bought other stuff from their before though).

its actually an annoying thing to search for, most are adapters (around 95%, even though you are seaching "cable", and length is a PITA to search for :))

I find hong kong sellers on ebay to be pretty good, just look for one with good feedback. They have all sorts of odd little things WAY cheaper than NZ, like screen protectors, odd size batteries, airline headphone adapters, etc.

I purchased a cable from WiredNZ, but I was a complete idiot because once I received it I realised it wasn't needed for my solution.
I called them and explained, and they were happy to allow me to return it for a refund.

I've been waiting for the day to return the gesture, so here it is. These guys are great.
