Was flicking channels last night and came across some program on TV1 (about 10:30)

Mark Sainsbury was interviewning Anntte Presley and asked the question...

"Would you have lunch with Theresa (Gattung)"

Annette replied

"Absolutley!! I'd love to have lunch with anyone that can wipe $2.5 billion off there company in 2 years"

Laughing

I hate Annette, its not TG's fault that Telecom have lost that much!

I flicked across and caught half of Annette and to be honest she interviewed pathetically. She sounded like a little school girl, egocentric and petty. I may have missed it but all she could do was bag the incumbant without offering any solutions - whinging is not a solution.

Was she drunk? I would have expected the head of a company to behave a little more professional or at least sound like an adult although I am guessing she has had some parliamentary schooling in how to avoid questions - ie her marriage was very expertly avoided.

Did she mention any huge investments in equipment with LLU? or just the usual telecom bashing, "but we dont want to put our money where our big mouth is" which seems to be the current climate with all the other Telcos and ISP's.

I'd have TG as CEO anyday over AP. AP = alot of talking, and not a lot of doing.

Perhaps a new competing sport emerging on geekzone is Annette/Slingshot bashing?

Good to see we didn't need to regulate the Telecom bashing to see this one compete.

Well, we invited TG to keynote Geekzone 2006, and I am not sure if she even got the invitation - perhaps we should ask AP?

The Telco loyalist might walk out in protest though (unless we have a resident CallPlus Troll who plans to attend??). And some for that matter Foot in mouth

Well, Jama is one of the speakers. People might walk away anyway...

Seriously though, I think people will learn lots from him.

Jama better be careful of what he says, or Felix might track him down, and publicly shame him on the forums, as what happened not so long ago Wink.

On that note, good luck Jama!!

Now, now boys that is enough of that. I am not going to be talking about 'us vs them' but I will be willing to have constructive conversations during dinner and as always will be happy to share my biased opinion.Wink
