My friend and I went fishing yesterday. And we drive through a tunnel in North Shore.

It's a pay tunnel, $2/each time. My friend told me can make an online payment. But we both don't know how to do this.

Is anyone can help with this?

The big signs all 6 of them either side of the tunnel has the URL and the 0800 number

It's a fair distance from the North Shore too...

As are: Albany, Dairy Flat, and even Whangaparoa.

But addresses there are often referred to as being on the North Shore.

It is only a little further than that

I realise that your question has already been answered, but did you try googling for the answer?

I ask because when I google 'North shore toll road' the first result was a stuff article with the link in the first paragraph. It really isn't that hard to find.

IMO the lack of a SMS payment method for the road is insane, They waste money on a call center when a simple text your rego to somewhere could have it paid in no time.

Maybe there was concern this would lead to accidents in the tunnel.

Not to mention a higher accident concentration for several kilometers either side of it.

Why cameras for that system anyway ?

Why not the tag things they use in Sydney for the harbour crossings ? You just go online, top it up when you want and it gets scanned as you drive through the checkpoints, no need to stop etc........
