The NZ Herald did say it came from the spareroom.co.nz...

That happened to me just minutes ago... A now formerly reputable source going by the name of Geekzone ripped off this blog post without attribution....

Of course I copied it off TVNZ so i don't care in the least. But i think it sucks when the supposedly professional and mainstream papers rip off people hard work. Brings up all sorts of ideas of legal retribution.

Hmmm. Nope. I ripped it from the press release sent by Telecom... But I get your point.

Did they talk about this on TVNZ? I don't watch TV news lately...

I dont actually care... just felt like being a smartass...

The source for the TVNZ story is Interactive, so they didnt get the press release from Telecom.

The editor of nzherald.co.nz, Neil Sanderson, comments on the Dompost refusing to attribute the source of the Ferrit story...

Seems pretty clear to me. None of us should be taking other people's work without acknowledgment. And the story was, after all, about a furore created by a blog. So "which blog?" is a question that needs to be answered in the story.
