http://www.stuff.co.nz/entertainment/music/5778236/NZ-Madonna-show-Mt-Smart-says-no

I hope its true, shes the best singer of all time, puts all Pop music to shame.

Any other Madonna fans on geekzone?

I so hope she does come, ive never been to a concert before, going to one of hers would be a cool concert experience.

I thought you were being sarcastic when I saw the title... Now I'm just surprised lol.

On the serious side, I would be doubtful of her coming to NZ. Although it would be good to have a major act making the effort to come here.

Would deff. consider going to it. Going to Florence and The Machine though first ;D
Madonna's leaving it a bit late to announce a venue though isn't she?

I would consider going if she plays in New Plymouth, Wellington or Christchurch. Unfortunately there have been a lot of good acts that I have missed in the last couple of years due to them only playing in Auckland.

Lionel Richie in Napier earlier this year was awesome though, as was Bon Jovi late last year in Wellington. I figure that I should get out and see more concerts now that I've reached the age where the bands that I'm into are getting towards the end of their touring careers.

Because I regularly travel between Christchurch and Wellington anyway, and I happen to particularly like the Bowl of Brooklands as a concert venue. I can't justify the cost and hassle of travelling to Auckland for a concert alone if I have no other purpose to go there.

I heard from one of NZ top female vocalists, that the rumour is true and things are in motion. March 31 at Vector Arena. But I agree, it's pretty soon for that to be happening? I read online some where about her moving a concert date from March 31 to October 31 too though.
I saw her in Paris on the Confessions tour and I would go just about anywhere to see her again - if I had the money! But I'd get into debt to go to Australia to see her. Awesome, awesome, show. Worth every penny you could spend. She is a fantastic artist.

Not sure if the Catholic church would agree with you on that one, but she's a wonderful singer and I have many of her CD's with at least one still in my cars CD stacker...  so I think Magi should pop into town so I can say thanks for a few decades of entertainment.

Her music is not my cup of tea but utmost respect to her as an entertainer and an artist who has lasted through the decades (and is still easy on the eye as wel it must be said). I wouldn't travel to go and see a concert but might be tempted for a night out with the wife if she came to Wellington (Madonna, not the wife ;)) and tickets were realistically priced.

Edit: typos

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?
