Is a warranty transferable if I sell something within the warranty period. Sony PS3 comes with a 12 month warranty but their booklet says it is only for the first owner. Surely they would still have to honour their warranty if it is less than 12 months old and proof of purchase is available.

*Edit*
The PS3 was bought from Harvey Norman. Do they have any obligation to honour some sort of Warranty?

How would they know who the 1st owner was though? The receipt doesn't always say who the buyer is would it? I am not sure on this. Would they still not be covered by the cga from the retailer if you provided the buyer with all the receipts and details. Failing that the buyer could always return it to you to return to the retailer if it had a problem.
