Here is one giveaway to Geekzoners in Hamilton, or planning to go there...

We have been given a couple of tickets for Hoyts D-Box Cinema at Hoyts Te Awa (The Base Shopping Centre Hamilton).

From their promo blurb:

D-Box Motion Code is a unique, patented system that takes moviegoers right to the heart of the action through realistic motion effects in theatre seats that move perfectly in sync with the drama onscreen, creating an unsurpassed movie going experience.

The technology is available at Hoyts Te Awa at The Base shopping centre in Hamilton. This month moviegoers will literally be able to experience the pod races in Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace with more realism than ever before when it is released in both 3D and D-Box on February 9, followed by Mark Wahlberg’s new movie Contraband on February 23 and John Carter of Mars 3D on March 8.

So, if you want to watch Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace  and be rocked during the pod races, or any other movie in that theatre, we have a double pass to D-BOX at Hoyts Te Awa to giveaway valued at $52, expire June 2012.

Rules are simple: post a reply here saying which movie you would like to see in D-Box. Remember to post a link to IMDB.com so that we can enjoy reading about your choice. If you click the Retweet button  then you get a new entry - but you can only do one Twitter entry per day. We don't like spam.

Although this is for the Hamilton theatre, anyone in New Zealand is welcome in to enter. Just remember you have to go to Hamilton to redeem the prize (no jokes about going to Hamilton, please).

I will close the competition next Wednesday 22nd February and get a random winner. No duplicate entries please.

Contraband.  It's the only thing that seems to be playing in the D-Box cinema at the moment that's NOT The Phantom Menace.

I'm sorry, but even the promise of free tickets won't get meesa to watch that film again!

As an update: tickets expire in June, so you could see something else...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1524137/ Contraband sounds good. This is a relatively new complex so would be great to watch it here. Thanks.

Imagine if The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was available in a D-Box version! That would be worth seeing!!!

(Yes, I know it isn't due to be released until well after the prize expires...)

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation
