Anyone used the above at the Auckland Domestic Terminal? Think its called Akarana. Any comments on the standard of the food and drink available ie can I get a full breakfast there or is it just snacks and juice.
Thanks.

That's cheap. Even $15 for breakfast is good.

It is cheap, etc, but what the OP is really asking is something like - is it actually nice food, good wi-fi and a pleasant environment or are you far better off somewhere else entirely, on all counts.

$9.99 for beer, wine, food, nice surroundings, free wi-fi and seats.... It would have to be pretty bad to not be worth it...
Get 2 beers and you are ahead.

If it somehow was, well, that's what the beer is for :-)

It does seem cheap but once your in, your in :-)as  I think its in the secure part of the airport hence was hoping to get someones real-world opinion before commiting to it.

You might want to look at flyertalk.com forums for those who have tried it.

Generally speaking I guess it depends on the lounge, some are better than others.  Also depends on how busy it is on the day, given it is a entry fee than a yearly fee.  It could be more busy than a normal airline lounge.  Some only allow a few hours and you need the boarding pass that show you are on a Jetstar flight.  Some only allow prior to departure.  Not on arrival.

It's hard to find.  You need to go up the stairs, through security.  As you are looking at the gates, it's to your left, and sort of behind you.  I know of clients who booked but gave up as they didn't see it.

It is an amazing deal.  You would spend far more in Maccas downstairs.  Highly recommend (and I always use it when I gamble on Jetstar).

I use it too whenever I fly Jetstar out of Auckland.  It is normally quiet (read: fairly empty) and the range of food is limited but sufficient for its purpose.  Plus the alcohol and wifi on offer tip the scale.

Hard to pass up for $9.99 (pre bookings)!

Sounds good, will hunt it down. Have a mid-morning flight out so coming down from up north will have an early arrival in Auck to miss the rush hour. Macca's at 7am doesnt do it for me :-)

Flew out of Auckland down to Welly recently on Jetstar, and whilst I didn't go into the lounge, I had a "peek" at it and it looks nice and decent!  At least it has a good view (in my opinion) - it overlooks the runway that that is sweet.

I think if you're willing to pay to get into a airport lounge of any sort, even @ $15 at the door that is hard to beat!
