I purchased an dual external drive enclosure from dealextreme a while back. However it seems to be underpowered and will only work with a single drive at a time.

I posted a factual review with my experience. But they never published my review, nor did they contact me with any concerns.

It is likely that Dealextreme are censoring negative reviews, be aware.   They are so cheap anyway, it makes you wonder how.

Yet when you saw a cheap product you wanted you didn't wonder at all before handing over your cash.

I have seen heaps of negative reviews on dx where people list pros and cons

They could be still back logged from the holidays and Chinese new year ?

Can't fault there service for me at the moment they gave me free ems shipping :>

Exactly what I thought, I was sceptical.

I purchase a fair number of IT related products so this was a trial run for future purchases.

I posted my review in October last year.  Perhaps it is because I awarded the lowest rating?

In my experience everything is hit and miss, publishing time for reviews, shipping times, product quality. Like Jack Reacher, I plan for the worst hope for the best. I've bought heatshrink tubing, SD cards, an iPod case which I can't fault, whereas some USB NAS box is complete and utter cr*p.
So for something mission critical or needed soon they're probabaly not my first choice, for other things, if just needed for a bit of fun or something that seems to not have a lot of parts that can fail, they often can't be beaten on price and I'll happily buy from them.

In short, buy from them with realistic expectations and one may be pleasantly surprised.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

I'm the same.  Complex electronic? no way.  But simple stuff, cases, etc they're great.

That could be it, if it's an extremely negative review, and no others have the same issue, then you could get downranked?

For my negative ones, I first tell DealExtreme and try for a refund(while most times keeping the product).  Then I write what was wrong, and what could be fixed.  Never had nay of mine blocked...yet
