Can anyone recommend a courier in Kapiti for sending a PC down south (island) please.

I don't do much couriering of (relatively) large items, so not sure who would be a good pick locally.

Sent the odd desktop PC (without monitor) via Fastways, and they seemed okay - however, this was some time ago, and have seen the odd negative comment about Fastways. Although, if they're owner-operated then it depends who you're dealing with I guess.

TIA.

I found Fastways to be ok as long as you're not worried about "overnight" taking 2 days to turn up.

I stick with CourierPost, they're not the cheapest, but IMO they're the most reliable. Depending on how heavy/big the PC is, it could be pretty expensive depending who you use.

Have been quoted  $30 from Fastways.

I considered CourierPost until I filled in the quote page online and it responded with about $170+ !!

I do realise CourierPost is more expensive. Is there a cheaper option with them, or is that just their standard pricing?

Pricing I have here for between-island courier is $17 per 5Kg or part thereof.

We may be on some sort of business rate though.

I sent 30-something Kg of music equipment in one big box to Auckland for $60 a couple of years ago via CP IIRC. Not between islands obviously.

If it's a big parcel, it might be to use a freight company like FliWays, they seem to be ok.
