We are looking to put some stuff in storage. Found pakityourself.co.nz selling the good size boxes for $4.99. Anyone seen better prices than this?

Ask on facebook. My wife just asked on a local community page for the howick area in Auckland and we picked up a car load for free. Even without a community page, you may have friends or friends of friends who have just moved and have boxes left over.

Yeah we have just thought of that! Also just been at the supermarket and they have lots of banana boxes, which we could take.

Actually, why not put a WANTED post up on your local Freecycle community board.
There are always tonnes of people giving away packing boxes that they've probably just used for moving house etc.

HTH :)

We used boxes from McDonalds in our recent shift - my son works there and got us ~150 or so of them - they're not huge but they're a nice size and easy to carry - can't overload too much. If you're in the lower north island area you can have some of ours if you want.

We have lots of boxes at work which just go into recycling.  We're in Newmarket. PM if interested :)

When my dad moved he purchased boxes from Storage King.

Advantage to purchasing rather than scavenging? They're all the same size (makes stacking them in the truck heaps easier) and they are super strong and robust, none of this flimsy cardboard stuff.

$0.02 :)

We used Recall document storage boxes. They're strong and they have handles, not particularly large but for a point of reference, one box holds around 100 CD cases.
