Has anyone else on Worldnet noticed that IPv6 seems to be enabled as of a few days ago? My Atlas probe started reporting it about three days ago, and has been connecting via IPv6 to its control server instead of IPv4 since then.

Edited to add: Just looked at the logs and apparently it's been 11 days, not 3, although the alerts were only for the last 3 days.

Is Geekzone showing you connected via IPv6?

The OP was from an IPv4 address.

What difference would that make as to whether Worldnet has it enabled?

You see a different logo when visiting Geekzone over IPv6:

Sure, but I'm accessing GZ through a completely different set of equipment than the path the Atlas probe has, so the fact that the Atlas probe is getting an IPv6 connection to the Netherlands has no relation to whether I'm getting an IPv6 connection to GZ (or not).

@neb Geekzone makes it clear if you are on a IPv6 address

OK, now I've switched to a different AP that has IPv6 enabled and I'm on IPv6 to GZ, which however changes nothing in my original post, which was a question about when Worldnet switched and whether anyone knew anything more about it.

In a minute I'll be switching back to the original AP, so I'll be coming on over IPv4 again.

You asked if the ISP had enabled IPv6. At no moment, until now you made it clear you were using different routes for internal browsing.

Better questions get better answers.

I asked whether anyone else had noticed that Worldnet had recently enabled IPv6:

Has anyone else on Worldnet noticed that IPv6 seems to be enabled as of a few days ago?

Instead of a reply to that, I got a bunch of questions about whether I was accessing GZ via IPv6.

Looks like they are selling their previously used block of IPv4 addresses too 14.1.64.0 - 14.1.95.255

They don't seem to have IPv6 through their primary ASN 18199 so I assume the IPv6 you're browsing from is through their upstream Devoli?

Either way it would seem they are making some changes...

Ah, that would explain the move. Pity, you used to be able to get an essentially static IP through them (without paying extra for it), it just stayed the same forever, but if they're selling off chunks of their address space I assume they'll be rolling over addresses a lot more often to multiplex the same number of users into a smaller space.

Yeah, the AS is showing as Devoli.

This is far and away my favourite Geekzone feature, you ask a question only to be shouted at about something else. I also love the whole "Has anyone ever tried to do X" before, only for everyone to line up to shout how you about how stupid/dumb/silly it is to do X when the accepted thing to do is Y.

The worst feature though is when some muppet replies to your post 4 days later out of the blue with some totally offtopic reply that doesn't even address the original question.
