I am a customer on Telecom's Big Time Plan and currently have ADSL soon to be upgraded to ADSL2+, my question is if i mainly use my connection for downloading and gaming how will having interleaving turned off affect both of these uses?
My connection stats are as follows:
DSL Status:
Connected
DSL Modulation Mode:
G.dmt
DSL Path Mode:
Interleaved
Downstream Rate:
7616 kbps
Upstream Rate:
896 kbps
Downstream Margin:
13 db
Upstream Margin:
17 db
Downstream Line Attenuation:
27 db
Upstream Line Attenuation:
7.5 db
Downstream Transmit Power:
11 db
Upstream Transmit Power:
19 db
From what have heard looking around that having a good connection (which i think i do, correct me if im wrong) means that when i turn interleaving off it shouldn't have a big affect of the quality of the connection but it should reduce latency, so this shouldn't make any difference on the downloading but should help with the gaming side of things, can anyone confirm or deny this?
Thanks
