Don't suppose anyone has an inside track on when Slingshot might be getting upgraded? L.Hutt, Wellington.

Upgrades are complete from a Chorus perspective, however the RSP may not have updated their shapers

On Spark through Tuatahi and I've just been upgraded:

And downgraded to 100/20 - quite quick enough for my needs and saves $10/month 👍

I started on 50/10 as my first fibre connection and thought it blazingly fast compared to my DSL, so doubling that seems rather good. 😃

Cheers for that.  Least I know it's not a chorus hold up now. Will give Slingshot a few more weeks since there's a few other responses indicating other areas are being upgraded, and then look at hitting them up.

Thx

This thread is entitled "Chorus upgrading fibre plans" but it seems ALL fibre providers are upgrading their networks (and at the same time). Is that correct? Why haven't they been as vocal about it as Chorus?

Because Chorus did it first, so the others felt they needed to follow.

This may have happened some time ago, but I see that Quic is now advertising the Runner plan as being 500/100 (so presumably all customers have now been upgraded). I'm currently on Sprinter, and although the extra upload speed is nice, I do wonder whether it's $20/month nice.

How many people are considering downgrading to a lower speed plan now they have been upgraded from 50 to 100?. Quite a cost saving considering  both Spark and Skinny have just increased their prices despite no wholesale price increase

this, I had the same email from them, however down here in ChCh on enable and enable website says “June/July”, so I’ll give them a couple more weeks and wait it out.  I’ll be going from 300 to 500.
