I don't think so, I'm using the Spark smart modem, and was still on 1Gb/s last night and this morning, until I placed the order. So I doubt it's my equipment.

Weird, I seem to be on 100/100 now? My order with Spark is still in progress however.

Let me know if / when you'd like me to look into this.  I can't modify any open orders etc, but will be able to see your connection in our network.

Are you using the ethernet cable supplied with the router, between the ONT and the router?

Yep. Nothing's changed from last night.

I'm not complaining, by the way...just seems weird :)

I'll leave it for the next day or so and see what happens, the order isn't meant to post until Friday anyway.

They must have tweaked the wording? Seems OK to me. It's a tricky thing to get across without over complicating it.

Definitely tweaked. That's significantly clearer than what was there before πŸ˜€

Noticed something a little odd going on - on the 24th of November (and every speed test since) my upload jumped from 20.5-20.7 Mbps to around 24.4 Mbps. My download has not changed at just over 100 Mbps.

Don't appear to have been upgraded as such yet - on Spark essential fiber 100 in Rotorua so Chorus is the local fiber company.

@MadEngineer what's the CPU utilisation on the RB2011 doing that? Is it struggling or OK?

Hah it’s around 100% at that rate. Profile showed the lcd using 1-2% of cpu so I turned that function off, as impressive as it was to see it graphing the speed upgrade.

I am on Bigpipe - Looks like it was updated a few days ago and I hadn't noticed.

I had to get a laptop and plug it via cable into the router to check. I also had to make sure not to use a Cat-5 cable as I gather they max out at 100mb.

I didn't have anything with fast enough wifi to check the new speeds 😊

Off topic, and already covered in this thread, but no, that is not correct.

My order should be completed tomorrow, in the meantime I still seem (oddly) to be on 100/100. I say oddly because this isn't even a plan that Spark offers.
