Your stats & like look pretty good. I'd recommending downgrading your firmware to v.22 however, that will give you better speeds and less issues.

BTW, you can post pictures directly to this forum; either copy and paste, or upload and link :)

Oh thanks didn't know I could copy and paste.

I can't seem to downgrade, I tried a number times.
First time as typical, second time with redownloaded image, third time first from same version firmware image (5.51) from download site, then to downgrade firmware.

Same error every time- this firmware is older than current, try again or reboot to keep same. Retry gets same error.
I've given up on it for now. First time I've ever run into a refusal by router firmware.

I'm downloading image files from the same site everyone is. Kind of weird. I've double checked they're the correct image files.

Hmm, I've not tried this myself, perhaps someone else on the forum may be able to assist?

Did you try the firmware link on the first post of this thread (down the bottom)?

Snap can probably assist as well, they officially recommend downgrading.

Lol no, my laptop where the image file is. I don't think I'm doing it incorrectly, I think the firmware is not allowing it. I've done this plenty of times on other routers.

I believe that there's 2 types of firmware files - the standard upgrade one and a special 'downgrade' one.

There are links to the downgrade versions on the first post (sorry if you tried before and it didn't work, looks like the files were moved - corrected now).

Give that file a try and see how you go.

This is the site I originally used:
ftp://service.avm.de/Downgrade/FRITZ!Box_Fon_WLAN_7390/english/FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7390.en-de-es-it-fr.84.05.22.image
Your link:
ftp://service.avm.de/Downgrade/FRITZ!Box_Fon_WLAN_7390/english/FRITZ.Box_Fon_WLAN_7390.en-de-es-it-fr.84.05.22.image

Good guess though! So weird. My attempts at downgrading takes about the right amount of time to apparently load up the new image, then rejects it as an older version. I'll have a google around and see if anyone has the same issue but I'm in no hurry.

Hmm, OK weird. At this point I'd speak To snap if I were you as they have done heaps of these.

JayADee: I still think my line attenuation is a bit high (13 when Chorus said it was 5 to 6 on the test to see if I could get VDSL)

I'm pretty sure prequal attenuation is measured at 300kHz which is pretty low frequency for DSL. Attenuation increases with frequency so I'd expect prequal attenuation to be equal to or lower than ADSL attenuation and a lot lower than VDSL attenuation as reported by the Fritz. In my case my ADSL attenuation was 2db and my VDSL attenuation was 4-5db (on an 8b profile). I don't think 6db -> 13db is obviously a problem.

seems DLM isnt making much moves to jump back up in sync speeds unfortunately..

i might give it a kick in the pants if it does nothing tomorrow, see if its not just a bad sync

still does seem funny though, DLM move to DLM-1 cleared up my FECs something crazy..

Dairusire: Well, I just swapped out the Fritz!box 7390 for a newer modem from NetComm

Officially name the NF4V, it can do ADSL/VDSL/Fibre, dedicated Gigabit Wan port, 4x gigabit ethernet ports, Dualband wireless 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz and USB 3.0 ports and VoIP.

So with this swap I noted down I was getting between 46-47 maybe even 48mb/s sync on my line. As soon as I dropped this Netcomm in the sync speed rose upto 51.4mb/s and 51.6mb/s down.

Does it support pass-thru?

Here's a picture of the tidy install by my Chorus guy.

It's right in the centre of my house to maximise wifi coverage. The fritz!box has terrible wifi coverage compared to my last two router/modems which had external antennas and would cover 50 metres in all directions. It's adequate though unless I need to wander down the driveway.

I sent my installer a thank you text for the nice job he did as I wasn't personally at home at the time.

Sorry, I don't know why in the post the picture comes up sideways.
