looks like an odd drop... your line doesnt look like it actually moved DLM profiles at all iver..

Nope, no DLM profile changes here, still sitting on 65 days uptime. The weird thing is that you'd expect errors to INCREASE after a SNRM drop like that, but they've massively DECREASED!!?? SO CONFUSED :/ :D

That's some hell noise man! Also, it's an SNRM DROP, which would indicate MORE noise / line issues, yet the connection is BETTER!?

Hehe, yeah, it's just a big tease.

Found the last time this happened.  It was a bit different, but the same kind of thing.

Edit: Also found the first time this happened, which was very similar to this time.

Actually, looking back at the previous instances of this, I think this could be some kind of 'spectrum reallocation' or some such to try to clear up errors on the line.  Last time this happened my errors stayed down permanently (at least until the next resync).

Downhillnz: I'd probably read the tweaking guides on here. I highly doubt you will gain a lot. But optimism is key.

Can't tweak the upstream SNR as far as I'm aware. I can live with the low download, but the low upload is rather annoying. :(

unfortunately, you cant really snr tweak for upload..

ild love to increase my upload too.. but im limited by the 10mbit limit :/

My speeds still dont seem right compared to what everyone else is getting 

Anything else i can do to boost the download speed? Im in an apartment building so i can't do much around changing my ETP - i have no filter and removed all other jacks in the apartment. Location is about 300m from central auckland exchange . Also put in a telecom VDSL modem in and got a lower sync speed - currently using a 7360 fritz!

few things i note.

firstly, your not 300M away both your attenuation and your spectrum support this.

you are running the very newest firmware (or is that the beta firmware even? i though they added FECs back in before releasing it)

this has been seen to have bad performance, although generally on shorter lines.


you could SNR tweak (i suspect you will need to use the telnet method for your firmware) but your already running a 2CRCPM rate. given that rate, you could maybe drop down to 8~10db and keep DLM-1 ild say.

Wooooo I'm pretty stoaked with my VDSL2! Finally on 17A 

I moved my router behind the fridge, as my demarc point is right there.. So now the Router has a 20cm patch lead to the cable coming in off the street.. about 9 days later I finally went from 48mb to 62!!

very nice, i cant say ild like my modem near a fridge though, sounds like bad interference waiting to happen..
