farcus:
RamyElbeltagi: Out of interest, who is your provider? and which countries do you regularly call?

Most commonly I call Japan LL and mob
with 2talk LL calls are 0.0575 compared with NP 0.0897
mob is quite different - 2talk 0.23 compared with NP 0.44 ( so not quite double)

I've adjusted NP prices above to include GST. 2talk prices already include gst.

italk here

Calls $0.14 locally and for international it varies depending on what plan and where you are calling. On my current plan to Japan $0.19 or if I change my base plan it would be $0.12.

Plan I'm on is $11 a month for 500 minutes to 40+ countries.

$0.26 for NZ Mobiles though. Not sure about LL to mobile for Japan couldn't find that :-)

All including GST. :-)

asstastic: Yeah I see why you might get confused with that, just planning on taking advantage of their music streaming and setting up wireless speakers around the house... will be awesome.. naked plus will help set that up.
It's pretty awesome how technology advances, I can play movies from my phone and link straight to tv via wireless.
I'm still a bit of a tech noob thou so bear with me :)

as far as I can tell, their 'music streaming' is just using grooveshark ( http://grooveshark.com/), which is free anyway, so you don't need nakedplus to use it.

I'm not entirely sure what, if anything, they do to make it different.

Naked Plus is working on a package that will let you hire the speakers on a monthly plan. That's why I am planning on going with them, im not sure who else does that. To buy the set up myself would be too expensive.

So basically your choice of ISP is made because they are the ones who will rent you some speakers?

That sounds a pretty odd criteria for choosing ISP in my opinion.

haha nooo.. I think you took that totally out of perspective.. if you find my very first comment, I chose Nakedplus for my business because during peak internet traffic my internet would slow, as the majority of my work is internet based I switched to Nakedplus because they are new and I heard the internet speed was slightly faster and more consistent. I actually kept my original telecom line and added Nakedplus on a second line while I compared the difference.
Nakedplus has proven to be faster and more consistent (I did regular speed tests).. so I'm dropping my Telecom line and sticking with Nakedplus.

... Due to the service and perks I've received since joining, and the packages becoming available in the future I have decided to switch my home internet as well.

Hope that makes more sense to you.

you might want to recheck that

italk local calling is 0.02 per minute
italk to Japan LL is 0.06 pm and mob 0.31

I used to be with italk a couple of years ago but ditched them because of inconsistent international call quality.
They admitted to having problems but never ever got around to fixing them.
Sometimes the number I would call would give a no such number message - but I always call the same range of numbers so knew they existed.

Never had a problem with local calls though.

So the latest listings are wrong? I just copied the current rates across from their website under my logon.

Doesn't really matter don't call over seas it's just there in case I need to use a phone. Haven't had any problems as you said locally.

Only really use 100 minutes if that out of the 500 minutes. My other half calls New Plymouth a lot so the 500 minutes anywhere is great.

Would switch to 2talk but don't need all the local minutes and would rather have more national/international minutes.

2talk/italk can't find anything near for value wise.

Had a look on the nakedplus website but would be paying more for the same service I'm getting now. Will keep an eye on them though.

Always good to have a couple of new players :-)

nakedplus's focus is on customer service, while providing premium products. Some people would appreciate paying a little more for that.

Agreed about your comment "Always good to have a couple of new players" :)
