Hi,

Has anyone tried NakedPlus residential services?
Who and what are they? Is it very similar to Orcon Genius?

Their website looks refreshing and they seem to offer a full range of telco services. Not to mention very friendly support from their human website support popup thingy.

I'm all up for supporting the new guys in the market so someone give them a go and report back

Thanks Insane (Love the name!).

Yes, you should give nakedplus a go! They focus on customer service (such as online website chat) while providing Digital Products such as naked Internet and cloud based PBX Phone system.

Would love to hear a customer's feedback on here.

I have shares in nakedplus so yes, biased answer. Thought I'd be honest.

The voip calling rates seem a little expensive.

The website says 5cents a minute worldwide landline calling - and then in brackets below that (including over 20 countries)

20 Countries is not worldwide!!

I also assume it would be 5c plus gst??? (they really should include gst in all their prices for residential offerings - a little dishonest not to I think)

Comparing my current voip providers rates and the destination I call regularly (which is not included in the 5c rate) I would pay more than double per minute.

I'm a business owner and switched my business to naked plus , I set my digital number up on my cell so now I can call out using that.. it saves me heaps on my cell bill and also I can call others with naked plus for free..so we chat while out on site for free. I guess it depends on what your needs are ... but the prices are reasonable considering the speed quality and service.. suits me well now considering switching home over and setting up a sweet sound system

I agree. Have fed that back to the team. They will change prices soon.
Thanks for feedback.

Out of interest, who is your provider? and which countries do you regularly call?

Yeah I see why you might get confused with that, just planning on taking advantage of their music streaming and setting up wireless speakers around the house... will be awesome.. naked plus will help set that up.
It's pretty awesome how technology advances, I can play movies from my phone and link straight to tv via wireless.
I'm still a bit of a tech noob thou so bear with me :)

Most commonly I call Japan LL and mob
with 2talk LL calls are 0.0575 compared with NP 0.0897
mob is quite different - 2talk 0.23 compared with NP 0.44 ( so not quite double)

I've adjusted NP prices above to include GST. 2talk prices already include gst.

as far as I can tell, their 'music streaming' is just using grooveshark ( http://grooveshark.com/), which is free anyway, so you don't need nakedplus to use it.

I'm not entirely sure what, if anything, they do to make it different.

You worried me by saying it was double.
so, what price would you put on customer service? :)

Also, have you seen the np's Add-ons? e.g LL 500mins for $16. Therefore equates to $0.032 (0.0368 inc gst). Talk (or chat) to them to find out what they can offer you.

Naked Plus is working on a package that will let you hire the speakers on a monthly plan. That's why I am planning on going with them, im not sure who else does that. To buy the set up myself would be too expensive.
