ChorusVan: We've released our indicative UFB year three plans (1 July 2013 to 30 June 2014) for consultation.

Our "fibre ready" subdivision still is NOT on your map, but I remember your news that you going to convert  existing FTTP fibre to UFB till end of this year. Is it still correct?

Urban broadband > 10 Mbps

Makes me more thankful for my TelstraClear 100Mbps connection :-)

Can't tell - My apartment spans across property numbers so on the lower end, the map says not until 2019 and on the upper end of the number it is 2014

Interesting to see that I should be in a >10Mbps zone in Chch. Despite recently installing a master filter I can tell you THAT ain't happening - 5Mbps on a good day. Telco throttling...?

Damnit, so close yet not far enough.

edit: and work misses out by such a short distance too:

Suggest you start a new thread, and post up some details of the line stats from your modem.

Enable do have some maps up online:

The Business coverage seems greater but not sure if that is UFB or not.

Sigh. I live 50 metres outside a Year 2 zone, which isn't extending in Year 3, despite the fact there's a Priority User (school) 50 metres further up the road!

Who told you this would occur by the end of the year? It's certainly not my understanding.

@ChorusVan: If one is in the >10mbps zone on the SAT and is getting significantly less (around 8mbps on one line while 13mbps on the other) than 10mbps, should one raise a fault with their provider?

I'm ~100m from year 1, year 2, and year 3. The map shows expansion on Year 1 in every direction but the one towards where I live.

ChorusVan: We've been deploying fibre in sub-divisions since 2006, preparing the way for a fibre future.

We have some work to do in order to adapt legacy network equipment to new UFB wholesale services and network specifications, opening up access to UFB retail service providers.

Our initial UFB effort has been focused on priority deployments to help connect schools, businesses and major health facilities.

We're working towards having existing FTTP sub-divisions able to connect to UFB services later this year.
