johnr: You mean ' Who called ' ?? and what about it

That's what I meant. Only useful if a number is presented.

Voicemail notification
How will I know when I've got a voice message?
We'll send you a text when you've got voicemail including the caller's number (unless they have a sketchy 'private' number).

The voicemail on Vodafone is way better than the Telecom one. In love sms alert you get when someone leaves a message and actually thinking about it we never get a voicemail message with NU tone when someone hangs which is awesome. Not to mention I dont think we have to pay that stupid 20c to access voicemail. That has to be the biggest con around. Apart from the coverage not being so great in our area Vodafone do a pretty good job at it!

So is it free to access voicemail on Vodafone for a business plan?

I think voicemail should always be free if you are on postpaid

chevrolux: The company I work for are a 'Telecom dealer' yet we have moved our mobiles to Vodafone purely because they were the most willing to make us the best deal. had the highest amount of minutes, texts and data for the price. The only issue we have in Palmerston North (and surrounding areas) is the Telecom reception is much better. However, Telecom just wouldn't play the plan game so they miss out. I think we get around 1000 minutes for about $90... JohnR might know better. I don't do the accounts so don't really know. The other benefit was free calling between our mobiles - not a biggy for you though obviously.

Edit: Oh and we also got free handsets for everyone which included an S3, 3 iPhones, 5 Galaxy X-cover's and a bunch of low end Samsung 'rugged' handsets. Alot of kit for only a 12 month contract.

According to a telecom sales rep I spoke with, the telecom network is superior so they are less willing to negotiate on price. I couldn't say whether it is true nationwide, but he certainly would not meet vodafones cheaper pricing.

I personally put reception quality ahead of price.  No use having a cheap plan if you need to keep restarting your 3g connection or calls are patchy.

I guarantee there would be an immediate change in attitude if they started to lose market share.

Found out today 2degrees does a $99 unlimited minutes plan, it's not advertised on their website, but it's for business only and there's no data. Seems good value, for my situation anyway.
