Ok well I will get a quote for a master splitter, the main concern is the new jackpoint in the house, there are no wall cavities, there are units above and below and both sides with no crawl space so I just suspect its going to be a bigger job than its made out to be to run a dedicated line in, plus I'm sure the wiring hasn't been changed since the building was built (however many years ago that was probably 40 at least)

Just so you know what i am dealing with here, The LL refused to let me get sky installed, as another tenant already had a dish put up and they didn't want more than one on the roof (why do they care??), 3 weeks of phone tennis I ended up just going ahead and doing it anyway :P

so i might have to do that in this case. The next tenant will be lucky :)

plambrechtsen: If you're with Telecom I can run a report from SQM and then suck the report out of the Network Analyser which clearly shows if you're having line issues with poor internal wiring.

Happy to look into it if you're a Telecom customer.

Hi, you dont nessecarily have to run a new cable when installing a master filter, there is normaly spare pairs in the existing wiring, but you need to trace it through.

Reality is you will have to spend some to solve this problem. If it has been going on for three years and across three different ISPs then it is something in your side, not theirs.

Get this looked by a competent tech and be done. Follow the suggestions in this thread to contact someone in AKL or WLG.

No reason why we / slingshot can't do the same thing but you really need the house wiring checked out by an expert like coffeebaron
