If we want more data at the high end, without it costing us a fortune, then we have to drive the APRU up by energizing those low end subscribers to spend and use more.

We clearly need to do more to inspire them with content and technology that will use more.

I appreciate the general acceptance that some of us here know what we're talking about from both sides (users and builders)...

But I am afraid that knowing the theory is something that a 1st year economics student could grasp - I can play tennis, but I'm not going to be competitive on the US Pro tour.

I also disagree that the object should be to increase usage. The object should be for people to use the internet without unreasonable concern for usage or price. The _vast_ majority are in that situation at the moment and I dare say with near certainty, those that 'need' multi-terabyte plans are not likely to be hit by unexpected bills.

And it's ARPU - not APRU. I was going to let it go as a typo but you did it twice I'm afraid.

Dom, you have missed the obvious conclusion - that you don't place a high value on the high level of service which you obviously want. If it was valuable to you then you would be prepared to pay a high price for it.
