DjShadow: Something like Powerswitch but for ISPs? (finding the best deal)

Doen't the Consumer TelMe do that?

In theory. In practice it seems different. Anyway, NZConnections was created as a wiki by a few Geekzone users and they found out people weren't willing to help keep things up to date, so the project died. Maintaining it alive would cost many hours of continuous updates.
myfullflavour: Unlimited UFB 100/50 included as part of the annual Geekzone subscription? Might tempt our friend on the other thread back..

Our friend on the thread won't come back. It's very unusual for a banned user to be allowed back. Some might go through the checkings but won't don't like to have troublemakers around.

Just look at the comment above. NZConnections didn't have much help. A few Geekzone people were doing it for free and keep it updated with the latest ISP prices. I guess people like the OP in that other topic being discussed here wouldn't be willing to either help or support. But he sure would like to have it for free.

Better reporting of known ISP outages through geekzone as a portal?

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

Geekzone geek level to be linked into your ISP account, so that you automatically bypass the first couple of levels of helpdesk support and go straight to an engineer who speaks geek.

- Removal of PeterReader
- Getting either Peter or John to post "Have you got a master filter installed" automatically instead, to make it seem like a human is doing it (much like Freitasm's "Welcome to Geekzone!" posts) ;)

Jaxar: Better reporting of known ISP outages through geekzone as a portal?

We had this for people to report outages. Very few did.

Only because people got fantastic support when the opening line was 'XXX Company sucks' and the social media team bypassed all the FOH support channels to get a solution.....
