Tunlr whitelists entire ip ranges, so for example only one person on your entire ISP subnet allocation you're in has to revalidate it. Works very well.
Assuming it hasnt been marked as abusive of course.

I hear Telecom is a pretty good guy when it comes to this, but you should also get a master filter to ensure that he's a good guy with you.

If your IP is changing that often then I'd suggest you may have a wiring/disconnection issue, Dynamic IP's should change only when you lose connection which shouldn't be happening an excessive amount of times per day.

Watch out for ISPs who are classed as hosting providers such as Netsmart in Tauranga. My folks are a WISP client of theirs and Tunlr is a no go.

Since I have not seen your ISP on any BGP Peers doesn't this class you as a hosting provider? Correct me if I'm wrong.

hosting direct has a BGP ASN.  So BGP doesn't really differentiate between hosting provider and ISP.

and fullflavourmedia don't even seem to expose their IP, using cloudflare (budget low end cdn), and gmail.

even their name servers are run by cloudflare who don't even have as NZ location.  so yeah, ... hmm..

ok found an IP for secure.myfullflavour.com, seems they're hosted by maxnet with vocus IP space.

not owning IP space for an ISP is pretty bad, and to me that's more significant than not having a BGP ASN.

Indeed, just look what happened with HD, anyway this is off topic a wee bit.

This is pretty normal, most new small ISP's start as niche virtual ISP's reselling a bigger providers services until they are large enough to afford the rollout of their own stuff.

They had a whole heap of Orcon addresses they needed to migrate from to their own.

True.  APNIC reduced the cost for new allocations though, and IP addresses are getting short.  So probably makes sense to get own IP address space on the soon side.

The ISP I used to work at gave fixed (static) IPs to everyone by default and with no charge. Get a new ISP I think.

You'll see us pop up in a couple of days. We are an APNIC member but our new network is only just being pushed live now.

I woukd take the Pepsi challenge any day of the week saying Telecom speeds are among the best during the day or night. Our customer service is pretty good and our service is reliable... #justsayin

I think you are right regarding the service quality and speed.

But credit card surcharge fees?  Those are so $1 shop.
